Hulu has released a new teaser trailer for its original star-studded horror anthology Monsterland. The series, which is officially synopsized as “encounters with… strange beasts drive broken people to desperate acts,” will air eight episodes, each of which is set in a different American city. Particular episodes include “Iron River, MI,” where Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) plays a woman who has returned to her small hometown for her wedding, but runs into the unsolved mystery of her best friend’s disappearance, and “Newark, New Jersey,” with Mike Coulter (Luke Cage) as a father who’s unable to move on after his daughter goes missing....

Adam Sandler—a long-time actor with big movies like Uncut Gems, 50 First Dates, Click, Murder Mystery, and more—may be attached to a new Netflix film called Dan Pan. It is a feature spec script written by Rebecca Drysdale. Drysdale is the new head writer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and has appeared in Orange is the New Black, Arrested Development, and 30 Rock. So, while things are looking up for Drysdale, it’s worth mentioning that the status of the script is mostly a question mark....

Although developer Volition won’t be releasing another Saints Row just yet, the studio does have a more character-driven title on the way with Agents of Mayhem, and the company has decided to unveil a fresh trio of personalities for the game called “The Bombshells” by putting out a new trailer. According to Volition, “When circumstances are at their most dire, when the pressure is at its absolute utmost, when the only solution is to send in the big guns, call in the Bombshells....

China announces that it is holding a National Day of Mourning in order to honor those that lost their lives as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. As part of this, all public entertainment, including online gaming, is being shut down for the day, with players reporting they can’t login to any online game. Beyond this, even gaming websites have been updated with black and white themes in remembrance. It’s been over six months since EA first announced a Switch version of Apex Legends would be coming. That news first came at EA Play last June, and since then we’ve been waiting patiently to get our battle royale on Nintendo’s handheld console. Bio’s writers are often tasked with the least enjoyable aspect of education: homework. “One of the ways we try to find new areas in stories is just by writing assignments and homework,” A.P. Bio showrunner Mike O’Brien tells Den of Geek. “We’ll all go home and write. I often call them sketches or scenes – just some little thing.” O’Brien’s homework assignments have apparently paid off as they’ve allowed the comedy to reach four seasons, the first two of which aired on NBC and the following two on streaming service Peacock....
