As was Pac-Man (who is still going strong, incidentally) and other arcade classic of that ilk. Even back then, though, a storm was brewing. When it was released earlier this year, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer included loot boxes, as did a number of other notable 2017 releases. It may come as little surprise then, that BioWare’s upcoming sci-fi RPG Anthem could also have loot boxes. Apex Legends is getting a patch this week to coincide with the upcoming “Fight Night” collection event, following Pathfinder’s origin story being revealed in a new Stories from the Outlands video.
