Even though it was first revealed a couple months ago, Ark: Survival Evolved has already sold one million copies on Steam Early Access, and continues to build in popularity among gamers. But it seems Ark: Survival Evolved’s developer, Wildcard, isn’t satisfied with what they’ve already accomplished, and is already gearing up to release a new game mode for the dinosaur-survival game. The new mode, called Survival of the Fittest, is reminiscent of the way Hunger Games pits participants against each other, in a fight-to-the-death where only one player can reign supreme....

An animator that goes by Sightseeker Animates on Twitter just shared some work on a Paper Mario-style Sonic game and its absolutely adorable. The short clip, which @SightseekerAnim explains is work in progress, shows off a bit of world exploration and combat in a paper version of classic Sonic the Hedgehog level Green Hill Zone. In a comment, the animator explains that the clip is a proof of concept animation rather than actual gameplay, but that assets are actually ready for a game....

For the next title in its giveaway, Assassin’s Creed 2 is up for grabs and you should definitely check it out. Ubisoft’s first digital conference, Ubisoft Forward, has just wrapped, featuring more than two hours of announcements big and small on familiar Ubisoft titles. When players first start their journey in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, they’ll have a default horse mount with a pretty standard saddle. While this mount is more than capable of traversing the large map of Valhalla, players wouldn’t be faulted for wanting to spice things up a bit and change mounts. Covenants in Dark Souls 3 give players access to some unique items. They have been a part of the Dark Souls series from the first game and have evolved from a rigid faction to something players can cycle through. Each Covenant offers different rewards for different play styles and builds. Some are better suited for newcomers to the game while others are better suited to veterans of the franchise. With a total of nine Covenants, there are plenty of rewards players can earn....

The Nintendo Switch is a great console for any type of play. It does well playing alone and equally well playing with total strangers.
