It’s been a few months, but people are still talking about the big Microsoft acquisition of ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda, Arkane, Id Software, and more. Microsoft purchased ZeniMax for $7.5 billion last September in what is the largest purchase of a games publisher ever made in the games industry. The acquisition technically hasn’t been finalized, but it’s almost certain to proceed as everyone seems to be very happy. Including Arkane Studios director, Harvey Smith....

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Creative Director Ashraf Ismail has stepped down following accusations of an extramarital affair. Over the weekend, a series of text messages between Ismail and a woman surfaced on Twitter, in which Ismail claims to not be married, with the relationship apparently lasting on and off for a year until the woman found out about Ismail’s marriage. Ismail has since released a statement regarding the situation on Twitter, stating that he was leaving the project to “properly deal with the personal issues” in his life....

As entertaining as the single-player campaigns in Call of Duty are, many are in it purely for the extensive multiplayer suite. 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot came packed in with an especially beloved competitive offering which only became better with time as updates poured in periodically.
