Akira Toriyama has been knighted by France for his prolific work as an artist. Dragon Ball is a pretty big name all over the world, so it should come as no surprise that the name is also big in France. Both the original manga and the television series are huge over there, so much so that they’re described as a cultural sensation by the Huffington Post. Some of the kids that grew up with Dragon Ball must now be in charge, since the French government honored Toriyama last Thursday with the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres commendation, or translated as Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters....

The PS5 and Xbox Series X releases have not been as exemplary as Sony and Microsoft would love players to believe. An Electronic Arts financial call has potentially revealed a new tidbit about Anthem, BioWare’s high profile action role-playing title. The Dragon Ball Z anime does a great job at remaining faithful to the story and ideas of the original manga. It’s a very accurate adaptation of the manga and is a great way to experience the story. However, that doesn’t mean that every aspect of the manga was perfectly captured. There will be moments where the anime isn’t able to maintain the spirit of the original material. These deviations can range from game-changing to minor insignificant details....

As John C. Maxwell wisely said, “change is inevitable, growth is optional.” The developers at 343 Industries have shown that keeping the status quo is most certainly not what they intend with Halo 4. Change for its own sake isn’t worth much, unless the tweaks and adjustments made are capable of improving, refining and reinvigorating gameplay for not only the next Halo title, but the foreseeable future of the franchise....

This is it; this is rock bottom for 38 Studios. It’s been discussed numerous times over the past week, but it has finally come to pass, 38 Studios has laid off its entire staff and the staff of Big Huge Games. After failing to make payments on their loan with the state of Rhode Island, and then failing to pay their employees, 38 Studios appeared to be on the verge of shutting down, but Curt Schilling and the Governor of Rhode Island remained optimistic that they could work things out....
