Among is the Mafia/Werewolf video game that has taken the world by storm. The game involves an interstellar crew needing to solve tasks within a short period of time, in order to survive. One (or more) of the crewmates is secretly an alien, and it’s the role of the extraterrestrial threat to wipe out the humans on the team....

Season 5 of Apex Legends introduced major changes to Kings Canyon. With the developers’ choice to demolish Skulltown and Thunderdome, the Respawn team removed two of the hottest Kings Canyon drop locations from the game map. Apparently, Arby’s is a huge fan of Final Fantasy 7, as the company paid tribute to the game with a project that can only be described as both dedicated and time-consuming. Twitch’s Artifact streaming directory seems to have taken on a life of its own since the game collapsed. Valve released Artifact last November to a stunned gaming audience. They weren’t stunned that the game was so great: on the contrary, Artifact was lambasted as being a more complicated digital card game than anybody cared to learn, and on top of that, some of the game’s monetization smacked of pay-to-win (certain cards could only be purchased or obtained by an online draft and trading them wasn’t allowed)....

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has grown immensely since its beginnings with Altair in the first game. Dogworld may sound like a modernized version of Nintendogs, or some other cute and fluffy world where you nurture your virtual pet. However, this 2D platformer is quite the opposite. Dungeons & Dragons Fall 2020 will be marked by the release of Rime of the Frostmaiden, a horror-themed adventure. I see a surge of sales for the PC version of Homefront: The Revolution happening in the near future. In a Twitter post yesterday, ex-Crytek dev Matt Phillips revealed that a fully playable version of the PS2 classic TimeSplitters 2 has been hiding within Deep Silver’s ill-fated 2016 shooter for the past five years. The reveal came about when Jan Willem Nijman (the other half of developer Vlambeer) asked about cool Easter eggs that devs have hidden in innocuous places....

There might be a new Google Chromecast on the way with an unannounced product making an appearance in the code of one of Google’s Android apps. The Chromecast with Google TV is due a refresh and is starting to show its age due to the lack of storage and somewhat lacklustre performance. But code discovered in the Google Home app strongly suggests that something is in the works. But whether that’s an updated Chromecast or an entirely new Google product remains to be seen....

We are two days into the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and reports of various glitches and bugs have been pouring in from all over Night City. The bugs range from amusing to game-breaking. Count this rogue stalker NPC in Cyberpunk in the former column—the screenshots are hilarious. As with most newly launched games, Cyberpunk 2077 has bugs and glitches that need smoothening out. Thankfully, CD Projekt Red prioritized some of the elements that actually made the game unsafe to play, by addressing the braindance sequences that gave a reviewer a massive seizure....
