Top games such as Hitman and Metal Gear require finesse, something that is possible by dedicating utmost time and effort to the game. The ideal playtime for a stealth feature lies between 20-25 hours, with those falling higher or lower being too long and short, respectively....

The gaming industry can be a double-edged sword sometimes. Although many people rejoice over the plethora of games that get pumped out every year (as they should), that also means many gaming gems get lost in the sea of content. Veteran fans of The Elder Scrolls series should be very familiar with the third installment in the series, Morrowind. A manga based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be coming to fans of the game this June. CoroCoro Comics is a manga magazine from Japan that releases a new issue every month. The magazine publishes manga from extremely popular franchises like Pokémon and Kirby, their target demographic being boys in elementary school. Now, thanks to this best-selling manga magazine, New Horizons will be serialized and distributed to the masses. From the image that has been released it looks like the manga will feature mainly the animals—and one ghost who is afraid of everything—who work in town and those who come through every now and then....

As a response to a fair amount of outcry from its playerbase, Apex Legends will be getting some further tweaks following its recent Battle Pass overhaul. The developers originally decided it would be beneficial to overhaul the Battle Pass as part of Apex’s shift into its seventh season, which launched on November 4. Their intention was to make progression “more streamlined and rewarding,” but instead the new system actually made progression much slower, and more of a grind....

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India makes some vast improvements over its predecessor in terms of style and gameplay while providing challenging 2D puzzles, but still lacks an engaging narrative. The Assassin’s Creed 2D-esque spin-off trilogy series got off to a somewhat rocky start with its first installment, but Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India makes a valiant effort to get the side-scroller back on the right track. The stealth puzzler isn’t nearly as big or sprawling as the installments in the main franchise, but tough puzzles and solid parkour mechanics make Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India worthwhile for fans of the franchise....

Ubisoft’s bold decision to put an end to its annual release cycle for the Assassin’s Creed franchise appears to have paid off. Assassin’s Creed Origins releases today and so far has been a big hit with critics. In addition to various new changes and updates to its mechanics, Origins introduces a much stronger Role Playing Game aspect with a full fledged loot and progression system. Unlike previous games in the franchise, gameplay is centered around the player’s level, with a significant portion of Egypt locked out to low level players until new skills and levels are achieved....

At the very start of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players will be given a choice of three options for Eivor’s gender, male, female, or let the Animus choose. While in most video games, this ends up being a significant choice that players are stuck with for the rest of the game, Valhalla allows the player to switch Eivor’s gender at will with relative ease. Coming off the back of serious controversy surrounding Ubisoft’s usage of female characters and treatment of female staff, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes the unique approach of allowing players to play as either male or female Eivor at any given point....

Eric Baptizat, one of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla development heads, has started working at EA’s Motive studio. He has taken over as game director of an unannounced ambitious project, which is rumored to be the Dead Space re-imagining. Baptizat started at Motive back in April, yet his transition hasn’t been covered in the press until now, Axios reports. The developer served at Ubisoft Montreal for 16 years and previously worked as a lead game designer for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and several other titles....

Warren Robinett, creator of the Atari game Adventure, is often credited with starting the tradition of hiding “easter eggs” in video games. The story goes that Atari didn’t allow game creators to put their names on their products, afraid that rival companies would use the information to lure them away.
