The PC version of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate releases today – almost a month after the game initially launched for Xbox One and PS4 consoles. PC owners have faced an agonizing wait for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate to be released on their device of choice. After all, the latest iteration in Ubisoft’s series has been available for console players since last month. Thankfully, the wait is now over, with the PC port of the title launching today....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla tells the story of Eivor and the Raven Clan as they loot, plunder, and forge alliances in a bid to set up a stronghold in England. However, the game also tells another story; one of Odin and the Norse pantheon as they try to stave off Ragnarok. Ubisoft’s E3 presentation hinted that Havi’s journey will continue, and some fans have found a hidden message. During last week’s Ubisoft Forward, we got a glimpse of the Year 2 support that will be coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla....

The Last Of Us Part 2 might be getting a PS5 edition after all. A peculiar Best Buy listing hints that some manner of graphical face-lift is in the works for Naughty Dog’s popular action-adventure game. The Last Of Us Part 2’s store page on Best Buy’s website now includes an innocuous tag suggesting a forthcoming PS5 release. “Includes next-gen upgrade,” it reads. What’s curious is this tag is on the store page for the PS4 version and makes no mention of what those PS5 updates might be....

Tabletop roleplaying game item crafter Yarro Studios recently launched its Kickstarter campaign to fund the creation of the Immersive Battle Atlas. Fortunately, the campaign was a success, securing over $300,000 towards a $10,000 goal. As of this writing, the campaign still has nine days to go. The Immersive Battle Atlas project seems to be a follow-up project to Yarro Studios’ first Kickstarter, which funded the Immersive Battle Maps for Tabletop Roleplaying Games that ran in February 2019....

Feeling a relatable inadequacy compared to his predecessor, Yunobo rolled into Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity to protect Daruk from a fatal blow. He returned to his timeline a changed Goron, no longer weighed down by the expectations he thrust on himself to live up to Daruk’s legacy. Playstyle Yunobo, like Daruk, is a fairly straightforward melee character who fights with his fists rather than a weapon. This is about all the pair have in common, however, as even their protective powers function differently, with Yunobo’s acting as a buff to several of his combo attacks through his unique action rather than a means of keeping him safe....

Ustwo Games, the developer of Alba: a Wildlife Adventure, has partnered with British reforestation charity Ecologi to plant over 450,000 trees. The studio is collaborating with Ecologi to “sustainably plant one tree for every download of Alba: a Wildlife Adventure.” On game’s Twitter page, Ustwo wrote, “We’re working with @Ecologi_hq to sustainably plant 1 tree for every download of Alba: a Wildlife Adventure. Thanks to you we’ve planted OVER 450,000 trees....

No wait, Alien 3 is great actually. It’s not flawless, but it’s the perfect bookend to Ripley’s arc and the original Alien Trilogy. Despite the challenge of following two genre-defining films from the same series and incessant interference from 20th Century Fox, Alien 3 made bold decisions that remain true to the franchise’s roots - something more recent entries have struggled to do. Alien 3 was David Fincher’s feature debut and despite his desire to distance himself from the film, the opening credit sequence is one of his finest....

It appears the sequel to Alien: Isolation that everyone assumed was in the works is indeed happening. Fox announced Alien: Blackout today, but with a curve ball: it will be a mobile game. This may not be the news fans of the 2014 critical hit were wanting to hear, as it is a major shift from the first game’s roots on PC and consoles. After the official Twitter for the Alien films teased the sequel, many were expecting something very different....
