Artist Creates Awesome Destiny 2 Little Mermaid Concept

Another artistic Destiny 2 fan has outdone themselves by creating a piece of fan art that mashes the popular shooter with another property, in this case one owned by Disney. This latest mash-up shows an interesting take one what Ariel from The Little Mermaid might look like if she donned some of Destiny’s Guardian gear and joined in the fight for the Traveler. The piece itself was designed by artist @KevinRages, who has drawn a good amount of Destiny 2 related fan art in the past in a couple of different styles....

Assassin S Creed Origins Year Off Helped Game A Lot

When Ubisoft made the choice not to release an Assassin’s Creed title in 2016, the decision was controversial. Despite the year off only representing less than a two-year break for the series, fans had grown accustomed to yearly journeys into the world of the Brotherhood of Assassins, and players gradually began to expect more from what would later be announced as Assassin’s Creed Origins as time passed. Those expectations did little to the Assassin’s Creed Origins development team, however, except perhaps to get them more excited for what they believe to be a ground-breaking iteration of the franchise....

20 Hilarious Ghostbusters Comics Only True Fans Will Understand

While the Ghostbusters brand may be ailing a bit these days after the poor box office performance—and ridiculous internet reaction to—the 2016 reboot, there’s no denying that it is still one of the most beloved franchises of the last four decades. Though the original 1984 film remains the unquestioned cornerstone of the entire property, Ghostbusters has endured in various successful forms over the years, from animated series, to toys, to comic books, and more....

23 Things Only Superfans Knew They Could Do In Ocarina Of Time

Here’s a bold opinion: is it just us, or is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time a pretty decent game. It is, ain’t it? Obviously, it cannot hold a candle to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, but precious few titles measure favorably to Nintendo’s twisted action-adventure masterpiece. Nevertheless, Ocarina of Time is alright … Kidding! Leave us alone. There are worse games out there and, for the most part, the franchise’s fifth entry has withstood the passage of time rather admirably....

25 Most Underrated Video Game Sequels Ever

Generally speaking, video game sequels fare better than sequels in other mediums. Video games may be art, but they’re also technology. As technology improves and offers developers new ways to expand upon their old ideas (or explore new ones), video game sequels often show us how far we’ve come. It’s honestly not uncommon for a video game sequel to be substantially better than its predecessor. For as celebrated as video game sequels often are, though, it’s not uncommon for one to fly under the radar....

Starting from fairly humble beginnings, DreamWorks has become a big animation company, often giving Disney a run for their money. The company has created quite a few companies....

After Two Decades Ico Still Has A Lot To Teach Us About Active Storytelling

It’s hard to believe Ico will be 20-years-old later this year. Fumito Ueda’s 2001 masterpiece was my introduction to thinking a little more critically about the intersection of play and how we process and engage with stories. Ico presents a stripped-down tale of childhood love and loss but asks that we engage with it a little differently than other games of its era. I regard Ueda’s painfully emotional trilogy as some of my favorite games, and even if Ico isn’t at the top of the three, it introduced me to themes and design choices that shaped my understanding of what games could be....
