It’s not unusual for video game developers to reference their other work on a new project. For example, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 includes The Witcher Easter eggs, and references to Blizzard Entertainment’s team-based shooter Overwatch can be discovered in its MMORPG World of Warcraft. One Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond player recently discovered an Easter egg with a long history for developer Respawn Entertainment. Reddit user LeopardTurret uploaded a video to the r/apexlegends subreddit Tuesday that shows players how to find a Nessie plush in the “epic AAA” VR title set during World War 2....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a gigantic game, just like all of the AC games are. But, with a gigantic game, comes a big pile of optional content, and sometimes it’s just not worth it to go full-throttle into that side of the game right away. I love Harry Potter, much like the rest of the world. Unfortunately, though, I only read it for the first time a few years ago. Rockstar Game’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is a massive single-player experience. There is a huge range of different secrets to find in the game, some supernatural, some historical, and some are just hilarious cosmetics....

From Lickers to Tyrants and everything in between, the Resident Evil series has featured dozens of creepy creatures over its nearly quarter-century history. Superbly scary since it originally debuted on the original PlayStation, some of these monsters will haunt our nightmares for years to come. However, not all RE enemies are all that terrifying. The eliminators and leech men for Resident Evil Zero, for instance, were far more annoying than they were imposing, and the ridiculous antagonists of Resident Evil Five and Six left a lasting stain on the series’ legacy....

It’s not just the technical scope either — Insomniac really tried to do something fresh with the story this time, and it shows. Leave it to CD Projekt Red to hide a secret message about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 DLC in the game’s official launch trailer. If you haven’t already seen it, go check out the trailer below. It’s a little different from previous Cyberpunk 2077 trailers in that it’s a lot more… sad. It’s a slow song with a lot of whispering voices and sad female faces. There’s still gunfights and action scenes too, but it’s a big change in tone from what we’re used to from Cyberpunk....

It’s hard to believe just how big the gaming industry has become in the past few years. While the growth has seemed to creep in many ways, talk of high-profile acquisitions within the medium has become a regular occurrence. Facebook’s acquisition of Oculus may have ruled earlier this year, but now all eyes are on Twitch in an unexpected acquisition. For the gamers hurt by the cracking-down on unauthorized audio that recently rocked the service, the fear of heavier restrictions following an acquisition was a very real worry....

Among Us had a much-awaited update in the bag for quite some time, with plenty of teasing from the developers. Finally, the big update arrived to the game today, with lots and lots of new features and a tease of future plans. Perhaps the biggest new feature that everyone was the most excited about is the new Airship map. It’s on a completely different level when compared to previous maps in the, in terms of playability, features, and sheer size....

Katie is one of many special characters that appear in the Animal Crossing games. Her first main appearance was in Wild World and then she showed up in every main game after that. It’s not clear if she will continue to do so in New Horizons. At the moment, no one has reported her being part of the game but she could become part of a future update. Normally, when Katie appears, players will have to guide her to another town to find her mother, and then she and her mom would send the player a gift a few days later....

Fans have discovered that the “official” PS4 trailer for BioWare’s new game Anthem is actually a Photoshopped version of Xbox One X footage. The title’s Xbox One X gameplay trailer aired at E3 2017 and was widely praised as one of the best moments of the event.
