A Los Angeles Judge awarded a key win to AMC in their ongoing legal battle over profits from their adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic The Walking Dead. Kirkman, along with producers David Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd, and Glen Mazzara filed a lawsuit in 2017 against AMC for a bigger share of the profits. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel Buckley ruled against all 7 issues raised in Kirkman’s suit and that AMC had been compensating both him and the producers fairly....

With the PS5 reveal event finally taking place this week, things are starting to heat up for the next generation of consoles. We may still be missing some important details, such as the price and a release date for both PS5 and Xbox Series X, but that hasn’t stopped speculation as to which will come out on top. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a hit since it was released on March 20, 2020. It is the fifth main title in the Animal Crossing series and takes place on a deserted island where the player can design their village as they see fit. What the player can’t control (unless they have amiibo cards) are the villagers who appear in the game. The villagers of Animal Crossing come in eight different personality types, and they each have a unique catchphrase and home decor....

Some dedicated Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have been able to make some inspiring creations. From recreating a famous scene from The Office to replicating DDR, the capabilities have seemingly been endless, though one player created an endearing map reminiscent of Sleeping Beauty’s castle from Disneyland. One Reddit user posted an image of their creation to the official Reddit page for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While villagers can’t quite be seen on related amusement park rides, the map image is nonetheless impressive....

Respawn Entertainment is shaking things up this year with Apex Legends. The game’s first Season 7 Collection Event, Fight Night, will go live on January 5, at 8pm PT. Among the changes is a special area on the map which limits players to dish it out only with their fists. Along with this, the game will incorporate an Airdrop Escalation Takeover. Respawn aims to test a new approach to limited time modes (LTM’s) with this update....

Apex Legends’ sixth season only started a couple of days ago and it hasn’t taken players long to become adjusted to the new changes and additional character, Rampart. In fact, a new tier list for the Legends as already been made to determine who are the best and worst characters to play as. The update also included a new crafting feature and, as expected, fixed a number of bugs and glitches that had been hampering peoples’ gameplay....

Even with all the Cyberpunk 2077 post-release blowback (which includes reactions to the game’s bugs, the title’s nearly unplayable PS4 and Xbox One versions, and Sony’s decision to delist the game from the PlayStation Store), my mind keeps wandering to this 2019 interview with lead Cyberpunk 2077 quest designer, Pawel Sasko. In the past, many artists have been inspired by the Pokemon franchise, creating creepy versions of Pokemon or ultra-realistic takes on the creatures. However, one artist has gone in a different direction, applying Pokemon designs to Disney characters with some rather impressive results. Ry-Spirit has been making these drawings for the past couple of years, and has created 60 in total. The Disney/Pokemon hybrids come complete with a drawing, a type, and a brief, Pokedex-style description....

There’s no shortage of entertainment for children. Parents want their kids to be healthy and happy, and being happy requires a couple of laughs now and then. Occasionally at the expense of good storytelling, Ice Age provided kids with more than a few guffaws. I should know. I was one of those kids.
