In the latest Apex Legends update, Season 5 Fortune’s Favor, a new area was added to Kings Canyon. This new area serves to show the location of all players remaining in the game, and bunkers. This new information hub is Crypto’s map room, and it can pinpoint many locations on the map and ping them on the player’s map. To activate these functions, players can use the large map in the middle of the room....

Since the addition of Octane, developer Respawn Entertainment has been relatively quiet on any new characters for Apex Legends, but following a new piece of lore introduced for Bangalore, many believe that the developer could be teasing that its next character is her brother. There has been the long-rumored Wattson that is supposedly the next character, but since he was never confirmed, there’s not much to go on. The piece of lore revealed by Respawn is an investigation into the Frontier War by the fictional Outlands Journal....

While there isn’t much to go on yet, fans of Apex Legends are already looking into the few teasers we have for the game’s sixth season, which is believed to be coming later this month. While it may not happen in this next season, though, some are hoping to learn more about one of the game’s original playable Legends: Alexander Nox, better known as Caustic. While Caustic does have an established backstory as a research scientist looking to test his deadly gases on unlucky test subjects, not much else is known about him and he hasn’t really had much focus when compared to other Legends....

The developers of Breakaway made the announcement of its cancellation on Reddit. This comes after a promised overhaul of the game that was going to focus more on the battling and fantasy elements, rather than the competitive sports angle. We have seen a lot of footage of Breakaway in the past, with the game seemingly near to completion. At a glance, Breakaway could charitably be referred to as an attempt to combine the intriguing character designs of Overwatch with the fantasy soccer elements of Rocket League....

Apple announced that it will host its “Hi Speed” virtual media event on October 13, where the tech giant is expected to reveal the iPhone 12. The event takes place at 10 am PT and will be streamed directly from Apple Park. This edition of Apple’s year-end event is somewhat different than usual. The tech giant usually reveals its new iPhone models in September, but this year the reveal was pushed back due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic....

Over the past week, Epic Games has been at “war” with Apple. It started with implementing a direct payment system in Fortnite that cut out Apple, leading to Apple removing Fortnite from the iOS store. Since then, Epic has filed a lawsuit against Apple, and Apple has threatened to take away Epic’s developer tools, which could end Unreal Engine support on the platform. The latest action by Apple is a legal filing alleging Epic pursued a special deal for Fortnite, a claim that Epic CEO Tim Sweeney claims is misleading....

As far as actors in video games go, Ashly Burch has pretty much become a household name. Even if players don’t follow game actors closely, there’s a good chance she’s been in at least one game they’ve heard of or even played. She’s been acting for video games since 2012, and she’s stacked up quite a roster of iconic roles while doing so. Burch has featured in both AAA hits like The Last of Us Part 2 and indie games like TowerFall....

There are Vikings called Lost Drengrs that are scattered across the regions in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. They employ Eivor to fight and give them the warrior’s death that they desire, but they are no easy foe. The power level of each of these Vikings ranges from one to 370, so it can take some time before you are able to defeat them all. The Lost Drengrs also have their own fighting styles, so there are a few techniques you should use against each one to make the battle a little easier....

As though one dream sequence wasn’t enough when Assassin’s Creed Valhalla introduced Asgard, you’ll end up getting a second one with Jotunheim. The area itself might not be as luxurious or traditionally picturesque as Asgard, but you better believe it’s every bit as populated, diverse, and easy to get turned around and lost. So don’t enter Jotunheim and hope for the best. Following the markers won’t be enough as occasionally the people and locations don’t even exist unless you approach them correctly....

One of the new features added to the franchise in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla allows Eivor to get drunk. As a viking, drinking is an important part of their character, and so this makes a lot of sense. Typically this happens as a result of drinking contests found throughout England, and the effects fade shortly after, but a recent bug is making the feature much more prevalent. What started out as a neat detail to show the effects of alcohol on Eivor’s focus has turned into a major headache, as this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla bug makes Eivor drunk every time the player loads a save file....

A new Xbox One bundle goes up for pre-order, and it includes one of the most eagerly anticipated titles in 2016 as a digital, full-game download to sway potential buyers. It’s interesting to see Microsoft offer a bundle that doesn’t actually include a physical copy of the game, and it remains to be seen just how much of a detriment that will be to players considering pre-ordering the console and digital download combination....

One thing Disney is famous for is its villains. They’ve come in all shapes, sizes, motivations, and songs. For many of us, the bad guy song was one of the best songs in the whole movie, and we always loved to see our favorite baddies have their turn in the spotlight.
