A Plague Tale: Innocence is receiving a sequel in 2022, giving you plenty of time to play it in preparation for the continuation. There is even a next-generation patch so console owners can experience an optimized version of the unique stealth/puzzle game running at 60 frames per second and at a higher resolution. If you’ve got any mint-condition retro games lying around, it might be time to revisit the attic, because a sealed copy of Super Mario Bros. for the NES just sold for $100,150. After the owner sent it for evaluation, the chief grader at Wata Games marveled at the NES cartridge’s “supreme status of preservation” and stated that similar products often display extreme wear and tear after more than 30 years. The copy is now in joint custody of three people, who split the bill to procure a piece of gaming history....

Since the blacklist situation occurred, Activision France has come out to say there is no blacklist in place, but popular French publications like Gameblog are suggesting otherwise. Gameblog wasn’t completely innocent in the situation, Activision did ask them to take down the story and they refused, but to blacklist a publication for scooping a story of this magnitude is a little drastic. As Gameblog recounted to Kotaku, Activision sent a simple email and followed that up with a phone call, both of which requested that the piece be taken down since no announcement was made regarding this next entry in the wildly popular Call of Duty franchise....

Last week, a Bloomberg report broke the news that Activision Blizzard planned to wind down its operations in France. This included the closure of its Versaille office, potentially laying off 285 employees. For those employees, this would be a devastating blow as the world is still reeling from the devastating economic blow from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. But now, French labor unions are calling on Blizzard employees to fight back. A call to strike was released earlier today from the CGT, SPECIS-UNSA, and CFE-CGC, three French labor organizations that are trying to fight for the rights of Blizzard workers....

That “Never Have I Ever” game went south pretty fast—game over in the messiest way. What was also notable in this episode is the series has its teens being teens. Sometimes, teen dramas forget to allow their characters to be teenagers and have teenager issues....
