It has been a while since we heard news for either Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition or Battletoads. The former did have two closed beta sessions earlier in the year, while word on Battletoads has been virtually nonexistent since the game’s announcement at last year’s E3. The second trailer for Apex Legends’ upcoming Season 8 arrives in a matter of days. Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends’ developer, stated it would premiere sometime on January 26, a week before the update itself launches. The first Apex Legends Season 8 trailer provided a look at some of the things the update will introduce, such as the new Apex Legend Fuse and the obliterated Kings Canyon map. The upcoming second trailer will show these ideas in action....
As of early last week, Respawn posted a Level Designer vacancy – coupled with an eyebrow-raising job description that implies a third Apex Legends map is in the works. Players have enjoyed a good deal of variety between Apex’s original Kings Canyon and the second, larger World’s Edge. Not only do the two large maps provide two completely different experiences, they’ve undergone plenty of changes over the past year. Despite the good work Respawn has done in this realm, players always hunger for more....
EA announced during the EAPlay event that Apex Legends will support cross-play starting this fall. The announcement was one of several Apex announcements during today’s conference. Apex Legends stormed the gaming world last year when Respawn stealth released it. It’s since grown into a core EA title, and so took up a significant part of EAPlay. It announced a new event, Lost Treasures Collection, to start on June 23, and they announced that Apex Legends will come to Steam and Nintendo Switch this Fall....
Apex Legends has an upcoming Bloodhound Town Takeover event starting April 7th, and going all the way to April 21st. Throughout the event, various cosmetics will be available in the shop every four days. Some of the cosmetics that will be available have been leaked by the dataminer iLootGames. The Bloodhound Takeover event will feature skins for Bloodhound, Crypto, Wattson, and Wraith and skins for five guns. Unfortunately, the Wraith skin and an R-301 skin are recolors from the first season, where players were able to earn the original skins by completing challenges in the Wild Frontier season....
After Titanfall 2 launched between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the game failed to live up to sales expectations, with some estimates putting it 6 million units short of EA’s sales goal for the title.
